Bursa Signal Corrections
Every correction we make is listed here, including corrections to wording and to method, not only to numbers. If you think something here is wrong, say so and we will check it.
Scope wording. The series was described as covering "what Malaysia's big funds are doing on Bursa". It covers EPF only, and only changes in disclosed substantial shareholdings, not every EPF trade. Wording corrected to "changes in EPF's disclosed substantial shareholdings" and a scope limitation added to the methodology of every edition.
Overstated completeness. Both said we read all filings in the window. In each case one company failed to parse and was excluded. Now stated exactly: the filing count, the number of companies parsed completely, and the number unavailable and excluded.
Method upgrade caught an understated figure. The first draft measured position changes by comparing holdings at the start and end of the window. That method is sensitive to which filing you start from. Recalculated by summing every disclosed acquisition and disposal, which is exact. The CIMB figure moved from about RM297m to about RM339m. Corrected before publication.
